my eyes burn
under the light of the golden moon
the gray face casts my shadow
onto an unlit earth
wrap me up in darkness
let the flames escape
the sun cannot warm my body
the moon commands my day
sing to me so I may see your beauty
guide me with your melody
darkness
I am the child of the night
born to rule what is not seen
the moon is my brother
the sun will never soar
innocence
I feel your words
I hear your actions
lift me up to the highest peak
so I may listen to the golden moon rise
